NIHOP-2024: One-Day Workshop on Basic Life Support & Airway Management

Niramaya Institute of Health Sciences, a unit of Vishnumoorthy Hayavadana Swami Education Society® under Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt, Udupi, in association with Delta Health Care, successfully organized NIHOP-2024, a one-day workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Airway Management on February 22, 2024.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Thirumaleshwar Bhat (Principal, SMVITM), Mr. Rahul Bisht (AHA-BLS & ACLS Instructor, Delta Health Care, Vadodara), Dr. Naveen M. Ballal (Director, NIHS), Dr. Flavia Castelino (Principal, NCON), and Mr. B. Shivshankar Pai (Principal In-charge, NCAHS).

Dr. Thirumaleshwar Bhat highlighted the importance of health insurance and stress management. Dr. Naveen M. Ballal provided insights into the fundamentals of Basic Life Support, while Mr. Rahul Bisht conducted practical demonstrations on BLS and airway management techniques. Mr. C. R. Bharath Narayanan elaborated on the scope of medical simulators in modern healthcare.

The workshop witnessed active participation from students of NIHS, MBA SMVITM Bantakal, Udupi Group of Institutions Manipal, Vidya College of Nursing Kaup, Vidyarathna Institute of Health Sciences Udupi, and Adarsha Institute of Allied Health Sciences Alevoor.

Dr. Flavia Castelino welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Roshani Rodrigues, Vice Principal and Co-convenor, briefed the objectives of the workshop. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. B. Shivshankar Pai, Convenor and Principal In-charge, NCAHS. The event was efficiently anchored by Mrs. Jenifer.
